Faculty members are expected to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to teach Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Project Management, and/or Business or Supply Chain Analytics courses effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to a diverse, contemporary student population and contribute to meaningful assessment of student learning.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research.
  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study.
  • Contribute to student growth and development through advising and assistance.
  • Engage in service to the university and community.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student body by delivering a student-centered education and using approaches that support equitable outcomes for all students.
  • Required Qualifications
  • A completed terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) from a regionally accredited institution in in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or closely related academic field from an AACSB, ACBSP, or equivalently accredited school. ABDs with expected completion by August 15, 2024 will also be considered.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level, to include one year of teaching courses in supply chain management, operations management, or project management.
  • Demonstrated potential for success in teaching and professional service activities.
  • A plan for scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research in the specified discipline(s), or related disciplines.
  • Effective Communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate with a variety of persons and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an institution with a culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse workforce and student population.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work collegially with faculty and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Specific Technical, Computer, and/or Software skills (as needed).
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with industry and with professional organizations like ASCM, CSCMP, ISM, and PMI.
  • Demonstrated experience in incorporating appropriate software to teach courses such as Excel, SAS, SAP, MS Project, or R.
  • Two years of experience at post-secondary education of teaching courses in supply chain management, operations management, or project management.
  • Experience of teaching multi-modal (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, HyFlex, online asynchronous, online synchronous) courses at post-secondary education in supply chain management, operations management, or project management.
  • Minimum of one publication in a refereed journal related to supply chain management, operations management, or project management in the past 5 years.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness teaching at a post-secondary level.
  • Experience developing course curricula at a post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated contributions to assessment of student learning at a post-secondary institution.
  • Professional development and/or expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, anti-racist pedagogy, and/or universal design.
  • Experience as an academic advisor for students at post-secondary institution.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience and is determined by the salary placement process as outlined in the Inter Faculty Organization (IFO) Master Agreement.
