You will join a team developing a state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

We seek a Manager, Test Engineering with demonstrated experience testing electro-mechanical systems throughout the full product life cycle. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop system test campaigns and perform system verification testing of our Apollo platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, planning and executing component through system level tests and inform design improvement and maturation toward commercial deployment. The qualified candidate will promote a culture of excellence and help define the future of humanoid robots.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing Expertise:

  • Work closely with engineering team to create verification test plans across a maturing product lifecycle, including: prototypes, EVT, DVT, and final validation stages.
  • Conduct component-level through assembly & final-level testing using a variety of methodologies.
  • Define, design, and deploy test fixtures and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing procedures.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to manufacturing problems.

Process Improvement:

  • Offer insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance product maturity, manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

New Product Introduction:

  • Create work instructions and test procedures for new products to facilitate seamless integration into the manufacturing process.

Technical Expertise:

  • Familiarity with pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLC, and PC-based control systems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure machine qualification through calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the reliability of test results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or relative experience.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing testing, with a focus on component-level through assembly.
  • Strong understanding of robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
  • Familiarity with optics principles and their application in positioning and alignment machines.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, PFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
