About the Business Development Executive

LexisNexis is looking for a highly motivated, solution-based consultative Business Development Executive to join our sales team in Leeds. If you’re the right one for us, you love sales, enjoy building relationships with clients and have a proven track record of 3+ years of success in new business sales, we would love to hear from you. 

What will you be selling?

LexisNexis is a leading global provider of legal, regulatory and business information and analytics. We help lawyers win cases, manage their work more efficiently, serve their clients better and grow their practices. We assist corporations in better understanding their markets, monitoring their brands and competition, and in mitigating business risk.

You will engage with potential clients to understand their specific business challenges, needs and requirements. Identifying then educating on where LexisNexis is uniquely positioned to support them. From here, sell a bespoke range of LexisNexis core Legal, Tax, News and Business Research Solution lines based on those specific business needs.

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Demonstrate experience of building and maintaining excelling client relationships.
  • Highly motivated, resilient and experienced sales professional with passion & conviction to take on new challenges in a business development capacity
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, conviction and natural curiosity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with superior business acumen
  • Ability to demonstrate existing proven success and overachievement in a fast-paced quota-driven environment
  • A strong working history of solution based consultative selling, with the ability to maximise sales through identifying metrics
  • Able to manage multiple ongoing opportunities at any one point in time
  • Be process driven and follows proven best practice achieve success
  • 3+ years new business sales experience, with a proven track record of success
