Responsibilities

The Bloom lab has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to study virus evolution. The successful applicant should have a PhD in biomedicine or a related field, and prior experience studying both coronaviruses and flaviviruses. The successful applicant is expected to have published multiple first-author papers demonstrating experimental proficiency in studying these viruses. The successful applicant will be expected to lead independent projects studying these and other viruses, including designing and performing experiments independently, writing scientific papers, and presenting their results.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in biology or a related field
  • Prior experience studying coronaviruses and flaviviruses
  • At least one prior first-author paper or pre-print related to coronaviruses and flaviviruses

The annual base salary range for this position is from $67,728 to $100,000 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
