Work Schedule: 27 hours throughout the week; variable based on student schedule and programmatic events. Hours for this role will vary throughout each week based on the needs of the program. This role will begin May 13th and end of August 2nd, with an option to continue through August 16th.

Job Description


This position will work mostly with Start Sooner through the development of programming, helping to coordinate and oversee student staff teams, and coordination and support for weekend programs for student participants. This role does require the applicant to live on campus in Dunham College during the time of the program. Housing and meal plan will be paid for by New Student Programs. This role will work closely with the program coordinator for Start Sooner and the Associate Director of Transition Programs within New Student Programs. Before starting their role, this applicant will need to complete First-Aid and CPR training through Fit and Rec. This training will be paid for by the department of New Student Programs.

Job Requirements


Required Education: Current or incoming master’s degree-seeking student. Proof of enrollment or acceptance required.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of incoming students
  • Event Planning
  • Student supervision
  • Excellent communication - written and verbal

Departmental Preferences:

  • Master’s in Higher Education, Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, or similar.
