Job Description

RESPOSIBILITY

  • Analyze and think about the Local Chinese/global market and the customer.
  • Think about the GM brand and how it needs to relate to market and customer tastes.
  • Bring sharp insights into taste-making market trends from automotive, technology and nonautomotive sectors and societal trends 
  • Define the narrative of projects with world class visuals that tell a story of how we see customer, branding and technology impacting our projects and defining them beyond the styling of the car.
  • Synthesize these concepts into UX, innovation and CMF proposals that reflect the tonality specific to the product concept.

Requirements

  • a postgraduate degree from a industrial design or other related fields and at least 10 years of design experience in UX or CMF design or three years of design management experience.
  • Proficient in English language with great presentation skill
  • Story telling & Visualization skill with programs such as PPT, photoshop, blender, after effect etc.

PEOPLE LEADING

  • Provide any assistance to UX/CMF team, creating the right work conditions for the employees, so they could do their tasks the best way possible.
  • Develop their skills and group them into high performance UX/CMF teams.
  • Act as a facilitator for other company`s departments, aiming to solve problems, remove impediments, conciliate different points of view and promote conditions to deliver the best user experience (always considering restrictions related to technology, deadlines, budget, employees' allocation, business needs and users needs).
  • Delegate tasks to UX/CMF team, prioritize their activities, define their deadlines and allocate employees according to the right level of expertise to accomplish each task, always trying to achieve the right balance between demands/tasks, priorities, available resources and deadlines.
  • Establish a performance evaluation routine (both for each employee and for the whole UX/CMF team), gives constantly feedback for each employee and set the expectations about their delivered results.
  • Plan the next career levels for each UX/CMF team employee, observe their professional evolution and reward them according a fair system of meritocracy.
