Job Description:

The Singapore Credit Operations Unit Head is a Senior Manager level position responsible for leading 2 teams which manage processing of Wealth Management Secured Loan Transactions and credit cards working closely with Sales, Product, Compliance, Risk Policy & Regional teams. Transactions could range from Loan disbursements, closure of loans, loan currency switch, renewal of loans, assignment / de-assignment of collaterals, tracking of delinquency (interest and maturity), sending MIS to frontline, tracking, and initiating force sell upon delinquency. The team also handles processing of credit limit increase and supports other related portfolio actions. Applications are processed by navigating through multiple systems and the nature of these transactions is quite complex and time sensitive. The overall objective of this role is to that the team delivers across all key business metrics, to ensure there is efficiency and transparency in services we deliver and ensure that our customers are treated fairly and honestly across Chennai and Pune.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, Unit Head, along with key people managers engage extensively with Product, Sales, Credit, customer service & Business seniors to support even for daily BAU and maintain high standard of service delivery.
  • Work with various teams to develop and execute a robust control and governance framework and ensure that controls are keeping in pace with the evolving business landscape and drive a strong control culture and ensuring permanent controls readiness through proactive risk management and issue self-identification.
  • Put an effective plan in place to handle business volumes without any impact to quality.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of Wealth Management Loan Operational processes through digitizing / automation initiatives and eliminate/reduce Manual Touch Points to increase scalability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of credit initiation processes through digitizing / automation initiatives and eliminate/reduce Manual Touch Points to increase scalability.
  • Implement ideas to improve efficiency, identify bottlenecks to improve TAT and reduce sales return rates to reduce manual touch-points faster processing.
  • Ensure focus on pro-active process reviews and clean audits.
  • Manage staffing requirements to meet operational needs and contribute to budget planning, policy formulation and capacity planning.
  • Coach and motivate staff, ensure staff development, manage performance, and make recommendations for appropriate personnel actions. To develop, train and retain staff, work towards Lower attrition rates and improved VOE scores.
  • Review Control Points in the process specific towards, queue aging, account summary, Day 2 controls, Quarterly monitoring
  • Lead new/ongoing projects/migrations and ensure smooth cut over with minimized risk.
  • Periodic review of process to identify inherent risk and develop suitable control method/activities.
  • Ensure trainings are scheduled and conducted for new staffs. Ensure training and parallel run are well planned and executed without impact on delivery.

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage, motivate and influence a large team.
  • Strong understanding of Secured Loan, processes, and automation opportunities
  • Strong understanding of Cards and RC policy, processes, and automation opportunities
  • Knowledge of Robotic process and its implementation in Operations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills (both written and verbal communication)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work independently, interface and execute with a sense of urgency and deliver tasks effectively.
  • Customer Focused, Forward Thinking & Solution oriented.

Education:

  • University graduate/post-graduate
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with strong strategic and analytical skills
