Boeing Poland Software Engineering develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets. 

As an MBD Software Engineer the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizing modern programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems
  • Performing engineering activities including architecture design, requirements review, software development, integration and testing
  • Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
  • Project estimation and planning
  • Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
  • Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
  • Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or euqivalent or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • English proficiency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Willingness to learn and work with new technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language C#, Python, RUST
  • Experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • Experience in virtualization techniques (VirtualBox, QEMU, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
  • Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
  • Collaborating in international and multi-national projects

The successful candidate will join an innovative, multi-disciplinary team of avionics engineers designing, developing, testing, and delivering avionics systems for commercial aircraft.

Candidates can work from our office in Gdansk or in hybrid or remote mode from home if preferred.
