The Position

The position is responsible for driving projects identified from the Supply chain development initiatives across Novo Nordisk Inc., (NNI). The position is responsible for Managing Assigned Development Initiatives: Take charge of the planning, coordination, and execution of selected NAO Supply Chain Development Initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the broader NAO and Global Supply Chain teams to align the assigned projects with overall strategy and goals. Reporting on Initiative Progress: Regularly monitor and report on the status of assigned projects, providing updates to the Director and other stakeholders. Contributing to Quarterly & Sprint Planning: Assist in the planning processes, ensuring that assigned initiatives are well-positioned for success. Supporting Portfolio Maintenance: Work alongside the Director to maintain an updated view of the assigned projects within the NAO Supply Chain Development portfolio.

Relationships

Reports to the Director NAO Supply Chain Development with 3 direct project manager reports. Position regularly interacts with Supply Chain Leadership across NAO, collaborates closely with SC Project Manager for NNI/NNCI SC Development and the entire NAO Organization. Maintains relations with NAO Supply Chain Organization and corresponding roles in IO and the regions within IO.

Essential Functions

  • NAO Development Initiative Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with the Director to understand the broader NAO Supply Chain Strategy
  • Engage with relevant teams to drive the maturation and execution of NAO initiatives
  • Prioritize projects based on strategic importance, feasibility, and available resources
  • Project Coordination & Collaboration
  • Act as the primary contact for all assigned NAO Development projects
  • Drive collaboration between global, regional, and local teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Address any project-related issues, ensuring smooth progress
  • Progress Tracking & Reporting
  • Use tools and methodologies to monitor progress on assigned projects
  • Keep the Director and other stakeholders updated on project milestones and any challenges faced
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure projects stay on track and achieve desired outcomes
  • Contribution to Portfolio Management
  • Help maintain an accurate representation of assigned projects within the NAO Supply Chain Development Portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure alignment between individual projects and the broader portfolio strategy

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g. Business, Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in supply chain/project management with a Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 7 years of experience with a Master’s degree (preferably from the pharmaceutical industry)
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Proven track record in project management and change management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Agile ways of working is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
