As Accounts Receivable Accountant for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics you are responsible for collections of delinquent accounts and resolves issues with incorrect billing amounts and purchase orders.

The role is critical for minimizing financial risk to the organization by assessing and advising on creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers.

You will report to the Senior Finance Manager, responsible for MEA region and be part of a team of 4. You will be based at our offices in Prague, with a Hybrid working flexible setting: 3 days of your choice at the office, 2 at home.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

Collection: 

  • Review and reconcile customer accounts for collection efforts
  • Chase overdue debtors using telephone/email and define the root causes for non-payment
  • Plan and execute collection activities to maximize cash receipts
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
  • Create and update customer profile class on a weekly basis
  • Cooperate well with sales team members and any the team members
  • Prepare the monthly cash collection forecast and ensure accuracy of the forecast
  • Review and release customer orders on credit check hold releases
  • Calculate quarterly bad debts reserves
  • Keep good record and follow up of KPIs (on account payments, DSO, 1+ aging report)
  • Ensure that adequate internal controls are monitored, including Anti-corruption policy & compliance and ensure support during Auditing

Cash Application:

  • Enter manually the cash application
  • Prepare the bank file
  • Sort and file the customers' remittances advices
  • Run the Netting on a weekly basis
  • Complete all the adjustments: applies & write off's
  • Complete the cash book on a daily basis
  • Make customers' phone calls to enquiry payment details and payment queries
  • Run the sales journal and the unposted items report
  • Perform the month end closing activities and payment queries

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A degree in accounting and/or finance
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Fluent English, in written and spoken
  • Advanced Excel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • A multi-geographic, complex business environment
  • Using Oracle as ERP
  • Working using a fluent French
