About this role

Job Purpose/Background:

This Campus Recruiter will be part of the APAC Talent Acquisition Team, which is spread across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and India. The successful candidate will be accountable for Campus/Lateral recruiting needs of various business units in India. They will be responsible for recruiting from various campuses, maintaining strong relationships with colleges and business stakeholders while adhering to the processes that might be bespoke to each business unit. They will also be responsible for running end to end recruitment searches while ensuring all recruitment processes are adhered to for the business units they are aligned to during non- campus months and will be responsible for delivering excellent client and candidate experience. They will need to work closely with our Global Talent Acquisition team in running and supporting global initiatives on an ongoing basis.This role can be will be based in Mumbai or Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and execute on the India campus plan for the respective businesses. Design and deliver business specific hiring plans to ensure an efficient and effective campus hiring program.
  • Liaison extensively with hiring managers, colleges, placement committees, candidates and HR stakeholders to ensure Blackrock sources the best candidates for full time and internship opportunities in India while also leveraging market knowledge to offer superior advice on hiring approach and best execution.
  • Build and sustain relationships with campuses to meet the hiring requirements.
  • Specific focus on employer branding and best in class techniques to leverage social media to expand BlackRock’s reach in country.
  • Management of recruitment partners that assist in campus recruitment efforts.
  • Advise the business units on best in class assessment methodology including supporting the businesses with relevant market data, insights and analytics as appropriate
  • Work with Business Managers, Finance teams, HR Business Partners and Compensation specialists to manage hiring plans, obtain appropriate hiring approvals and execute recruitment strategy.
  • Design and deliver business specific hiring data/reports and presentations to inform and influence the business.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects within Talent Acquisition and across HR.

Knowledge/ Experience Required:

  • The ideal candidate should have at least 5 yrs of experience in Talent Acquisition having handled campus relations for majority of that experience. Exposure to recruitment in countries like China, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan and Korea is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of hiring in domains like Asset Management, Technology & Analytics is a must have
  • Experience of working in a complex/matrix business structure is a pre-requisite for the role.
  • Exposure to various campus recruiting practices and techniques is a strong preference – including the ability to approach new partnerships, identify areas of brand building and provide ad-hoc reporting and market intelligence.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of candidate closing skills/techniques.
  • Experience of setting and communicating strategy, and a track record of delivering results.
  • The ability to consult with and influence senior management.

  • Superior influencing, stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Very strong in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to recruiting more frequently used CRM/ATS like Workday, Successfactors etc.
