A Cloud Software Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and operating scalable, reliable, cost efficient, and secure cloud solutions, enabling the SaaS transformation of our portfolio of Simulation and Test applications. 

Working in Agile and international environment, you contribute to the success of our solutions by:

  • Delivering technical solutions from requirements through to operations in Production environments
  • Understand and be guided by the Well Architected Principles
  • Prioritize quality and minimize technical debt
  • Collaborate across a range of internal and external teams
  • You are invested in maintaining our SLA (Service Level Agreement) including contributing to out-of-office hours operations
  • You stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies 

Your qualifications

We would love to hear from you as a passionate engineer in computer science/IT, with 5 years of professional experience as a software developer including developing services and deploying infrastructure in AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud platform using CDK/Cloud Formation. You are also an expert in researching, designing and implementing micro-services delivering self-contained business functionality within a SaaS product. 

On top of your technical expertise, you show good collaborative skills (collaborative software development including source control and collaborative design and code reviews), and enthusiasm towards working in international and distributed team, in an agile environment, operating 24X7. You have the desire to learn new technologies and enjoy developing new skills. 

To succeed in this position and deliver best in class solutions, you should bring technical experience and proficiency with: 

  • AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM (Identity & Access Management), SNS, SQS, Lambda, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, Scalability, High Availability). AWS Associate/Professional certification would be highly beneficial
  • applying monitoring techniques for early problem detection and reporting
  • using CI/CD pipelines (GitLab experience is an advantage)
  • OOPS using programming languages such as Python & JavaScript

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $101,200 to $182,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
