Overview

This position will report into the Head of DGRSE Programme Management and focussed on delivering Business Analysis for the portfolio of initiatives across the Data Governance, Resilience and Service Escalation function. If you are passionate about this space, we would like to talk to you!

Role Description

The Data Governance, Resilience & Service Escalation (DGRSE) Programme Management team is focused on driving & delivering change on behalf of the DGRSE organisation across the broader LSEG organization by implementing common tools, policies, and standards as well as putting in place metrics and reporting to track the progress and impact of the work being done.

The successful Senior Business Analyst will lead the analytical, investigative, and other fact-finding work in support of capability development for the DGRSE organization. This is achieved by collaborating with internal stakeholders and partner organizations to elicit requirements and perform analysis to then be able to implement solutions.

Successful candidates will be required to build strong stakeholder engagement & partnership across LSEG spanning multiple levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities will be: 

  • Partner with key stakeholders to gather various types of requirements (high-level & detailed) via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. For example: Collaborate with key partners across LSEG to gather requirements via workshops
  • Translate requirements into functional and non-functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to LSEG stakeholders (developers, testers, project team, sponsors) 
  • With gathered requirements establish scope and translate into deliverables for assigned projects
  • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize and implement the collected requirements
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; redefine as necessary; maintain transparent version control 
  • Business Process capture and analysis using a variety of sources (SMEs, documentation, workshops, etc) to create business process models
  • Data modelling to design, implement, and document data architecture and data modeling solutions. These solutions support enterprise information management, business intelligence, and other business interests.

Key Experience & Skills

  • At least 7-8 years related work experience working as Business Analyst
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, and verification
  • Experience with business process modelling
  • Experience with data modelling
  • Proven experience working with data, metrics and dashboards.
  • Financial Services industry experience a plus
  • Ideally have an understanding of BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation)
  • Ideally have an understanding of IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis ) BABOK approaches and techniques
  • Working knowledge of Windows office systems and demonstrated advanced level skills for PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence others
  • Not afraid to challenge but open to alternative solutions
  • Good stakeholder management with collaborative and can do attitude

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in subject such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Management, Finance, etc.
  • Ideally Business Analyst Certification in an accredited program (i.e. IIBA, CBAP)
