Your role

  • acquire a thorough understanding of the process as well as methods, tools and technologies used.
  • obtain understanding of the control framework around the process and ensure adherence to the same.
  • collaborate across global and regional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver high quality reporting and analytics for the business area ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • collaborate with various business, accounting, control, reporting, change and other stakeholders to achieve process outcomes.
  • meet requests for adhoc information on time.
  • maintain a keen eye for detail and review and challenge processes and numbers if they don’t look right and escalate in a timely manner.
  • respond promptly to feedback, questions and other requests from stakeholders in relation to the team deliverables.
  • proactively identify enhancement opportunities within the processes.
  • support key projects and other initiatives going on in the team.

Your team

Group Finance purpose is to drive sustainable shareholder value for the Group by optimizing, safeguarding and controlling our firm's financial resources as trusted finance business partners to our clients and stakeholders. Roles exist across several teams within the Group Finance function in UBS which covers Product Control, Accounting, Reporting, Controlling, Treasury to name a few.

Your expertise

  • as per the Chartered Accountant Regulations, A candidate who has passed the Intermediate or CA IPCC Examination (both groups) is eligible to serve as an industrial trainee in any of the financial, commercial, industrial undertakings as may be specified by the council or such other institution or organization as may be approved by the council from time to time.
  • an article assistant can serve as an Industrial Trainee only during the last year of his/ her prescribed period of Practical Training/ Articleship.
  • strong accounting and analytical skills.
  • good team player, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to meet quality and manage tight deadlines.
  • a strong communicator with good English language skills. (verbal and written)
  • methodical and organized, with attention to detail.
  • strong MS office knowledge (Excel, Word and MS Access).
  • ability to learn and apply learning quickly and effectively.
