Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior SAP MM and SD resource to join our team. This role requires at least 10 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP MM and SD modules, with a preference for retail industry and S/4 HANA upgrade experience. As a senior resource, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the SAP Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) modules, collaborating closely with cross-functional Tech teams, and business partners. You will lead projects, analyze complex business requirements, design solutions, configure system settings, perform testing, and provide expert-level support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP MM and SD functionalities, have experience in driving successful S/4 HANA upgrades, and a track record of accomplishments in implementing best practices within the Retail Industry.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Lead SAP Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes, including configuration, integration, customization, master data and reporting needs.
  • Provide SAP MM expertise in configuring and customizing based on business needs, including Master Data maintenance, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Logistics.
  • Provide SAP SD expertise in configuration and customization including Master Data, Basic Functions, Pricing, Sales, Billing, EDI, POS and DTC processing.
  • Assist in Wholesale process: EDI, Sales Documents, ATP, Drop Ship.
  • Stay up to date with SAP MM & SD module advancements, SAP standard best practices, and industry trends to propose and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners and cross-functional IT teams, such as Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Order Management.
  • Perform multiple full-cycle implementations including Scoping and Planning, Process Design, Configuration, Functional Specifications, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Rollout Planning, and Post Go-Live Support.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for all aspects of requirements, development, testing and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP MM and SD, with preferred S/4 HANA and Retail experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of SAP MM and SD module functionalities within the Retail context, including but not limited to: Order Management, Pricing, Delivery, Billing, Procurement, Inventory Management, Vendor and Customer Management, Demand Management and ATP, Delivery Fulfillment, Reporting.
  • Highly skilled with the ability to lead system upgrades, data migration, implementation of new functionalities including ECC to S/4 HANA.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and optimize processes to industry best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of integration points between SAP MM, SD, and other modules, such as Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO).
  • Experience working with middleware and communication technologies such as PI, EDI, B2B, SFTP.
  • Proficiency in SAP debugging tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, across all aspects of the development lifecycle from idea inception to post launch support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $136,000.00
