The role

Are you ready to redefine how the team develops, executes and maintains functional tests? As the member of the quality assurance group, you will be wearing multiple hats from tester and developer in test on the most complex elements of the product to peer leader establishing and implementing automated testing and quality assurance strategies. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams and contribute to the core technical aspects of an e-commerce project utilizing Java technology. This will provide you with the unique experience of working in a dynamic and diverse environment, while also allowing you to apply and further grow your software development skills.

In addition to the primary responsibilities of this role, there is also an opportunity for your growth and development towards a full-stack developer position, should that align with your career aspirations and interests. 

Expectations and tasks

  • Work closely with development team to ensure quality aspects are properly implemented.
  • Work closely with product owner to ensure quality aspects are properly managed in the product backlog.
  • Identifies risks and challenges regarding quality area.
  • Find, implement, and analyze/monitor processes, tools and metrics to achieve test effectiveness and the overall quality of software.
  • Research, share, and explore new technologies, best practices, and trends.

Education, qualifications, skills and competencies

  • Student of Computer science or equivalent,
  • Experience in at least one programming language (Java preferred),
  • Analytical, conceptual and methodological skills,
  • Openness to acquiring new skills in the area of Quality Assurance, test automation, continues integration, business processes and in technologies,
  • Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally,
  • Good communication & negotiation skills in English (spoken and written), Polish will be a plus,
  • Basic understanding of development tools (such as Docker, Gradle, Git...).
