Job Description

BAE is searching for an ERP and Operations Senior IT Director responsible for the identification and delivery of new services to meet cross-sector business requirements and will provide oversight for all ERP operational and technical processes. The main business areas supported include Order Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse Management. The Director/Senior Director will lead the IT ERP team with responsibilities for strategic planning, program execution, system operations, compliance, O&M support services and modernization initiatives.

  • The ERP and Operations Sr IT Director is also responsible for the development of an effective planning process that aligns to the execution of an integrated operational schedule, encompassing all aspects of the ERP Program (patches, upgrades, technical fixes and automated testing) across all platforms (Oracle, Deltek, etc). This position will also lead ERP change management processes working with business and senior IT leadership to incorporate an appropriate impact analysis and approval for such changes across the ERP program team.
  • The Sr IT Director will coordinate all data transfers and exchanges required by upstream and downstream systems, and will partner with other IT teams on data management strategies and execution.
  • Further, the Sr IT Director will be responsible for driving rationalization and automation of processes and solutions, as well as efficient use of resources across all business sectors, while maintaining service levels. The position is responsible for managing multi-million dollar budgets and ensuring performance against that budget. This is a complex financial environment and strong financial skills are key to success in this position; the candidate must establish strong partnerships with finance and procurement.
  • This position requires a broad range of experience, including; customer management, service delivery, leadership of diverse teams, and the ability to employ both directive leadership style and leadership through influence.
  • A successful candidate will have in depth experience creating and deploying a services lead organization and will be a change agent for services-driven culture. This includes collaboration on training, communication, standards, and validation.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience leading a geographically dispersed ERP team, with direct experience leading strategic planning, ERP program execution, ERP program upgrades / migrations, budget management, and resource management.
  • Proven ability to establish direction, implement a vision, and outline appropriate strategies that support the overall business objectives. Is considered a trusted partner and has built and effectively sustained the relationships with the business leaders.
  • Technology-savvy with a broad understanding of available cloud-based technologies that can be used to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining on-prem and cloud solutions, as well as implementing solutions on IaaS and PaaS.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, shape, gain commitment to action, and be decisive at all levels. Strong communication skills with experience leading effectively in a matrix organization and collaborating with other departments to work toward a common mission.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to VP level executives and customers.
  • Experience leveraging technology to create and deploy automated business processes and procedures across an organization.
  • Mindset of service ownership and end-to-end accountability.
  • Must be able to articulate the value of application rationalization and staff pooling to customers who traditionally have dedicated resources whom they routinely direct and re-direct through the course of the year.
  • Experience with compliance, ideally as it pertains to US government defense and contract adherence. Experience implementing automated solutions, particularly as it pertains to access controls, change management, audit, identification and authentication, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 15+ years’ experience leading a geographically dispersed ERP team, with direct experience leading strategic planning, ERP program execution, ERP program upgrades / migrations, budget management, and resource management.
  • 8+ years of complex project management experience.
  • MBA or relevant master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Should be able to discuss, put into practice in-depth theory regarding efficient delivery of business solutions across a diverse, related portfolio of customers.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $164000 - $278800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
