Financial Service - Project Manager (Korea, Japan)



The Market

  • Research and keep abreast of latest trends in South Korea and Japan auto finance market and other automakers
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of partners' value propositions while identify changing market trends


Partner Management and Product Development

  • Maintain close relationship with both senior and working level members of finance partners
  • Conceive and manage implementation of new financing products and financing campaigns to drive business growth
  • Maintain constant communication with stakeholders on key partner strengths, differentiating products, developments, etc
  • Take a lead on strategic engagement and commercial relationships with partners
  • Define and execute strategy around partner relationships and acquisition
  • Manage commercial negotiations for all partners
  • Maintain and refine processes and tools to facilitate better engagement of partners Ensure partners provide highest level of service to cross functional teams and customers
  • Setup and implement KPI to effectively measure and monitor partners’ performance
  • Continuous improvement of partners’ service level and efficiency through technology
  • Ensure continued success in driving sales for Tesla with partners as well as continued success of the partner portfolio
  • Drive business development and go-to-market activities for financing products with partners


Business Team

  • Regularly review partners’ performance with business teams to identify areas of improvement
  • Conduct regular new joiner and refresher training to customer facing team on financial services products and services to ensure it is used effectively as a sales tool
  • Proactively build and continuously improve sales enabling tools for customer facing teams to effectively communicate benefits of financing products, including but not limited to online and offline finance calculator, marketing and communication materials and training material



  • Conduct in-depth analysis on performance and effectiveness of financial services relative to overall business growth
  • Provide regular updates to regional team on partners’ performance through quantitative and qualitative analysis



  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a very fast moving, developing and constantly changing environment
  • Analytical, able to derive actions through detailed data analysis
  • Experience in implementing process improvement through IT automation
  • Experience in managing external partner relationship
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Japan and Korea Automotive finance and leasing market
  • Experience in auto market and auto dealer management is a plus
  • Experience in communicating business requirements to IT team; implementing IT projects that drives overall business performance
  • Team player, able to work and collaborate with multiple functions across the organization to achieve company goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Possess drive, enthusiasm and a genuine interest and curiosity in the business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial experience with solid knowledge
  • Language skills of region targeted, plus good English
  • Detail-oriented
