Position Description: 

The Regional Supply Chain Director ("RSCD") is responsible for multi-site management and integrating business process activities within their territory, which are in Supply Chain or related to Supply Chain's activity, to deliver safe, cost-effective performance with a customer centric mindset. In addition, the RSCD will collaborate with the RP to ensure profitable inventory and operations. The RSCD is also responsible for coaching and managing General Manager performance. Lastly, the RSCD will execute and deploy supply chain initiatives driven by the Supply Chain Field Support Center, to ensure continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage regional operations controlling inventory accuracy, product movement, warehouse operations, fleet operations, and on-time delivery performance to deliver cost effective performance and high customer satisfaction.
  • Coach and manage DC General Manager performance, collaborate with Supply Chain leadership across supply chain operations and strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales to define and execute on regional strategies to drive market growth
  • Collaborate with up-stream supply chain leadership to ensure profitable inventory, product assortment, and product movement with DC networks
  • Manage overall cost of end-to-end P&L for assigned DCs
  • Establish and maintain a presence at all assigned DCs to ensure performance meets and exceeds standards;
  • Ensure adherence to safety-related policies and procedures to improve employee safety.
  • Implement and maintain the standardization of best practices in operations
  • Own regional supply chain talent pool and leadership development (creating pipeline and succession plans)

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience: Management experience and a minimum of 7-10 years distribution operations experience. Experience in managing large remote or multi-site teams required. Experience in leading Business / Function transformation; preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

  • Physical demands: Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required: 90% of the time, travel throughout the assigned territory and will require overnight stays. Travel could include both automobile and air travel.
