About the role

Generally assigned to medium complexity projects and internal relationships that support the delivery of IT Solutions and drives 3+ areas below:

What you need to know:

Business / IT Partnership Relationship Management: Manages the technology priorities, budget, and planning. Responsible for addressing technology service improvements, challenges, and issues with business-facing manages.

Business Service Delivery Execution & Management: Helps drive approved business technology plans and leads the end-to-end service deployment and delivery. Ensures tech systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals. May manage key technology performance indicators and metrics.

Risk Management: Proactively identifies issues and risks; resolves complex operational problems for possibly multiple work groups / functions.

What we’re looking for:

Scope and Impact:

  • Role is a leader in supporting the day-to-day delivery of end-to-end technology design and support for a line of business, function, region or one or more countries.
  • Duties and responsibilities have scope and impact that extend beyond the area of technology domain / specialization.
  • Manages a small sized team of FTEs and managed service partners.

Problem Solving:

  • Works with Business and IT Leadership.
  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems/issues/ assignments.
  • Often responsible for resolving unclear situations utilizing expertise in specialized field.

Autonomy and Decision Making:

  • Applies advanced analysis within area of specialization to make decisions.
  • Decision-making authority may extend beyond the area of specialization to include unit/team.
  • Sets priorities and/or sequence of tasks to achieve objectives with minimal oversight.

Leadership:

  • Often provides project oversight and leadership.
  • Influence often spans across units/teams and area of specialization.
  • Provides guidance and support to junior-level peers.

Knowledge Expertise:

  • Has advanced knowledge and understanding in the field of technology and technical concepts.
  • Has advanced knowledge on product innovation and well versed in leading edge technology in marketplace.
  • Well versed on the technology components of the managed-insurance business products and services.

Education and Years of Experience:

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or proven record of experience in technology roles with required years of experience. 8+ years in IT Business or Systems Analyst supporting Technology Service Delivery, Technology Transformation, or IT Consulting. 3+ years in leadership position; 3+ years of the experience must be in financial services or insurance industry.
