About the Role

The Lead, Strategy will work with senior leadership to define the future of Stitch Fix by working on high impact projects that help to articulate our most impactful opportunities and the path to realizing our growth objectives. This will include supporting a variety of strategic initiatives across different parts of the business, such as: competitive intelligence to identify new areas of opportunity, improving our core client experience and enabling cross functional partnerships in places like our operations and merchandising. In addition, this person will play a key role in driving critical corporate planning activities, like owning or supporting key initiatives under our OKRs. This position will work closely with cross functional partners across marketing, algorithms, engineering, operations, product, and finance.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Partner with the strategy and cross-functional teams to support our most important growth initiatives by defining the long-term strategic vision through to execution.
  • Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research and analyses, including internal and external data sources. This will include testing business hypotheses and synthesizing results into practical solutions and business strategies to inform our overarching business strategy.
  • Communicate strategic recommendations and use influence to gain support from leadership and drive alignment within the organization.
  • Develop project work plans and roadmaps with cross-functional partners to support the execution and implementation of strategic recommendations.
  • Be a thought partner to key leaders as they unlock the full potential of their functions in support of the business.
  • Be a part of Stitch Fix history, as we break ground on new business models and disrupt the retail landscape.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have at least 5-7 years of strategy experience, with a minimum of 3 years in strategy or consulting at a top firm. Retail or consumer strategy experience is a plus, but not required.
  • You have demonstrated experience with supporting OKRs and goal setting processes, including establishing key dashboards and metrics.
  • You are experienced in developing strategic roadmaps and possess a strong ability to focus on the most important and highest leverage strategic options at hand.
  • You have experience translating and delivering quantitative data and qualitative insights across teams to identify problems and unlock meaningful solutions.
  • You are a strategic problem solver with the proven ability to structure a data-driven approach to complex business problems.
  • You are a focused, organized, and results-driven individual with the discipline and confidence to drive a diverse set of cross-functional partners towards a set of defined goals and challenge the status quo to improve our business.
  • You enjoy working in a high paced environment, are highly flexible and able to thrive with ambiguity.
  • You have demonstrated experience with independently leading strategic projects and change management initiatives.
  • You take ownership, are an inventive problem solver and have a high level of accountability.
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • You are enthusiastic about the retail industry, have a passion for learning, and are motivated by challenges.
  • You are proficient in Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Slides and Sheets.

Compensation and Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. In addition, the position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. Applicants should apply via our internal or external careers site.

Salary Range

$155,000—$166,000 USD
