What you’ll do 

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice to clients on digital transformation initiatives, including but not limited to digital strategy development, technology strategy, cloud strategy & adoption, application modernization and business process optimization. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, Business Development Executives, and Client Account Leads, understanding their business needs and challenges, and providing tailored digital solutions. 
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of digital trends and technologies and contribute to thought leadership in digital and technology transformation. 

Skills and Experiences 

The ideal candidate will possess a robust business or management consulting background with a strategic focus, especially in business function transformation with an emphasis on Supply Chain. Essential industry experience spans Manufacturing, Retail/CPG, Travel/Transportation, and Logistics, with a preference for familiarity with ERP/CRM strategies or realizing value from technology platforms in finance and supply chain contexts. This role demands proficiency in complex problem-solving alongside the development of comprehensive strategies and roadmaps. 

A strong foundation in business consulting within supply chain management is critical. The candidate must thoroughly understand business strategy, management principles, operations, and financial analysis. Demonstrated ability in crafting strategies that enhance operations is essential, including providing expert recommendations to reduce costs, increase performance, and ensure sustainability and compliance within the industry. 

Additional key areas of responsibility include: 

  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships, overseeing engagement from scope to commercial execution while contributing to practice content and thought leadership. 
  • Serve as a strategic leader to enhance client operating models through technology, processes, and people, improving overall experiences for customers and employees. 
  • Mentor junior team members, ensuring their involvement and growth in client engagements. 
  • Drive demand for Supply Chain services within the Manufacturing and CPG sectors in the South region, developing targeted propositions that leverage insights and expertise. 
  • Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to align industry perspectives and resources, leading to the successful delivery of Advisory strategy engagements and the development of innovative advisory services. 
  • Promote talent development within the industry through mentoring, training, and the creation of supply chain-specific content and success stories. 
  • Engage with clients to customize advisory strategies based on deep industry knowledge, identifying business challenges and opportunities with a focus on digital transformation. 
  • Work in partnership with global industry practitioners and the Regional Advisory Leader to refine strategies and enhance Avanade’s market position through thought leadership and innovative solutions.

With over a decade of experience in the Supply Chain domain, you are recognized as an authority and proponent by your professional peers, pairing this expertise with a fervent passion for digital innovation. This combination underscores your ability to leverage digital technologies across business processes, enhancing your profound supply chain transformation experience to unearth opportunities that may elude others. Your adept interpersonal skills enable you to forge trusted advisory relationships with clients, steering projects to fruition. Simultaneously, you collaborate effectively with business development and sales teams, contributing significantly to the growth of the pipeline. 

Required skills and experience 

  • Proven ability to strengthen client relationships and collaborate with business development teams, securing a trusted advisor role. 
  • Over 5 years of experience in sales or pre-sales roles within the Manufacturing industry or closely related fields, showcasing a deep understanding of client needs and industry dynamics. 
  • Deeply engaged with Supply Chain trends and thought leadership, equipped with innovative strategies to tackle client challenges through technology solutions. 
  • Experience within the Microsoft ecosystem is a plus, enhancing strategy, digital innovation, and project management from concept to execution. 
  • Established network in the South region, encompassing clients and ISV partners, to support strategy and innovation projects. 
  • Skilled in bridging business needs with technical solutions, working closely with solution architects to address supply chain operational challenges. 
  • Insightful knowledge on transitioning organizations to become future-ready within the supply chain domain, contributing to thought leadership. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adept at gathering client requirements and simplifying complex technical solutions for a non-technical audience. 
  • Over 5 years of experience in sales or pre-sales in Manufacturing or CPG industries, with a profound understanding of supply chain dynamics. 
  • Track record of leading successful supply chain technology solution deployments. 
  • A robust network of Supply Chain leaders and a history of productive collaborations within the Manufacturing or CPG sectors. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficient in proposing solutions to diverse stakeholders. 
  • Independent and motivated, with exceptional presentation skills and a commitment to driving projects with accountability.
