The Project Execution department is a vital part of the Turbine Control Software organization within Vestas Power Solutions. Our department is responsible for delivering software development projects that make Vestas turbines efficient and safe to operate. We are a team of highly skilled and experienced Project Managers and Project Technical Leads located across three different sites in India, Portugal, and Denmark.

As a member of the Project Execution team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and impactful projects that contribute to a sustainable future. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

As a Software Project Manager you'll be responsible for

  • Lead and deliver strategic, large-scale, high-impact projects within agreed scope, timeline and cost, while ensuring high quality.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and control the project according to Vestas Governance and report to relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure value chain alignment with a large range of project stakeholders
  • Setup an effective organization of your projects including strong governance - Project Leadership is key in this role
  • Guide continuous improvement in project management methodologies, processes, and tools, and ensure their effective implementation across the organization.
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers, providing guidance and support to promote their professional development

Qualifications

  • We expect that you have a Diploma or Master level education within the relevant academic field (e.g. Engineering or Business)
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in managing high complexity Software Product development projects in a matrix organization with multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Ideally have achieved recognized Project Management accreditation (either Prince2, PMI or similar)
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as Jira, MS Project; Confluence
  • Advanced language skills (verbal and written) in English are required

  • Ability to take ownership and effectively engage in continuous improvements within the project execution within the department

Additional information

In this full-time role, your primary work location will be DK, HQ in Aarhus (Hedeager 42 (3005), with up to 20 travel days per year.
