ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by all Safety regulations and policies
  • Must wear all required PPE for any task/job currently being performed
  • Meet all production standards and efficiencies focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost based on current routings/times
  • Perform daily housekeeping task. Help maintain 5S standards in your work location and whole department
  • Must be willing to work outside of your current Job Classification and Department as qualified and needed
  • Responsible for designing, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing electrical, controls, robotic and automation systems for new and existing production equipment
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering employees to streamline and optimize processes and support production goals
  • Conduct test and perform data collection of all electrical, controls and automation production equipment and systems
  • Perform inspections on installations of electrical, controls and automation work in the building and on the equipment
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, production machinery, and other facility equipment. Repairing and/or replacing any damaged electrical equipment, controls, and automation systems
  • Report to the Maintenance Supervisor on all projects to keep up to date with project status, completion time projections, and escalating issues that arise during a project
  • Read and interpret blueprints for new equipment installations
  • Conduct hydraulic and pneumatic checks and replace valves, hoses, and pumps

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mechanical abilities
  • Basic mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve knowledge
  • Strong orientation toward:

o Safety, quality, and continuous improvement demonstrated by a work history of safe performance, accuracy and attention to detail in the work performed, constructive problem solving and suggestions for improvement, ability to effectively implement or respond to change, punctuality and consistent work attendance

  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures, including those related to Safety
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize projects for the benefit of the company.
  • Exceptional electrical/controls/automation and instrumentation troubleshooting skills and experience required.
  • Significant experience with:

o VFD’s, programming, and installations

o 4-20mA controls circuits

o Sensors, including temp, pressure, flow, load cells, and scale systems

o Interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams

o Troubleshooting motors, relays and industrial control devices

o Allen Bradly (Rockwell) PLC ladder logic RS5, RS500 and RS5000

  • Ability to bend conduit
  • Knowledge of current electrical codes
  • Robotics experience a plus

POSITION SUMMARY

As operational needs change, duties and responsibilities of this position will be subject to change and/or develop per management review.

  • Resistance welding experience a plus
  • Experience working with industrial voltages (480VAC to 24VDC)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Will be working in a manufacturing plant with varying climate
  • Must be able and willing to work daily and weekly overtime as required
  • Able to stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours daily
  • Able to lift, push and/or pull up to 33lbs individually and up to 66lbs as a team
