Intermediate LeveThe National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has

awarded contracts worth as much as $1.5 billion for companies for work on a

comprehensive content database that would accelerate decision-making for

analysts throughout the next decade. The

indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contracts, awarded to 14 companies, are

the JANUS program, an NGA initiative that provides geography, aeronautical and

elevation information. JANUS is an unclassified cloud environment that updates

and maintains geospatial databases, which can then be accessed by NGA’s data

partners including the intelligence community and military. JANUS, will enable

near-real time access to commercially-created and enriched content (including

crowd- and community-sourced data) in a cost-effective manner that improves

decision-making timelines.

Day to Day-

Consultant will perform staff to geospatial production work including feature

collection, feature attribution, error fixing, topology fixing and imagery

interpretation. Ability to utilize ArcGIS and other mapping software is

required. The specific day to day tasks will depend on the image you are

working on. This position can be repetitive at times, being comfortable with

this is a must.

Qualifications-

  • Experience in the GIS field (in school or professional experience acceptable)
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Degree in Geography, Geology, or related field
  • Experience working with satellite imagery a plus

Training:

  • Formal Training: 2 week- required to be onsite in Fort Collins. We will communicate

your exact training details before you on-board with us.

  • Informal Training: Complete Area of Interest (AOI Workshares) prior to being completely

independent.
