Position Overview:

The Case Aide is under the supervision of the Director. A Case Aide’s responsibilities include carrying out a variety of supportive administrative and casework activities within the child welfare system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support; type letters, reports, memos and records.
  • Escorts clients when necessary only as instructed by the Director or managerial staff.
  • Facilitates office and/or field visits for prevention cases.
  • Participates in cases conferences when necessary.
  • Facilitates Connections and PROMIS data entry as required.
  • Ensures receipt of agency mailings to parents/caretakers/guardians and children via phone calls
  • Operates telephone console to facilitate internal messages and telephone call transfer. Receives incoming and places outgoing telephone calls. 
  • Provides response to routine inquires and other information as appropriate.
  • Performs simple clerical duties.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information processed while receiving calls and messages.
  • Reads and routes incoming mail. Ensures all outgoing mail is dropped in the mail box, picked-up or carried to the post office timely.
  • Assists in the preparation made for all meetings directly relating to the department.
  • Works directly with the Preventive Services Director or other managerial staff in assessing the departmental needs and following through with department staff to achieve desired results.
  • Responsible for maintaining department records and records management/storage.
  • Prepares check requests for the purchase of office equipment as needed. 
  • Assists in the reconciliation and management of petty cash and petty cash vouchers, as needed.
  • Assists with errands to the other Agency Sites, as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as needed.

Position Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least some college, Associates in a related field preferred. Prior experience in child welfare or other social services, including day care, youth services or other related programs that involves direct work and contact with children and families. Good verbal and written communication skills required. Candidate must be computer literate.

Salary: $18.68 hourly
