We are currently seeking a relationship driven associate for our Advanced Planning Team with specific emphasis on financial planning. This role consists of managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables as well as other practice management tasks as needed and working closely with the Lead Advisor.

SUMMARY:

The Financial Planning Associate will work closely with the Lead Advisor and our Client Service Team to provide a variety of planning and service needs to our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Must possess in depth knowledge and understanding of retirement planning, tax issues, risk management, and estate planning.
  • Participate in all aspects of pre and post client meeting activities such as preparation of meeting agendas, paperwork as well as follow up meeting notes and performing financial analysis.
  • Take a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships by communicating in a positive and informative manner.
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations in the securities industry.
  • Have an eye for opportunities to capture new efficiencies and take initiative to research different approaches and processes.
  • Work with client and team members to manage the onboarding process along with ongoing client service.
  • Have active communication with internal team members, client, and outside vendors to obtain client information.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned or delegated.
  • Coordinate planning implementation with outside professionals if necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual should have the following skills and abilities:

  • CFP® designation preferred or in the process of completion
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Previous knowledge of Practifi,Tamarac, Outlook, Excel are highly desired
  • Detail-oriented, exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong follow through is essential
  • Desire for customer service excellence
  • Strong teamwork mentality, ability to multitask
