Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has an exciting opportunity for Analog / Power Electronics Bus Unit Hardware Engineers (Lead, Senior, Principal) to join us as part of our Space Digital Products & Electronics team located in El Segundo, CA.

Collaborating closely with digital teams, you'll provide the essential infrastructure that enables the digital heart of the satellite to function flawlessly. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of state-of-the art Analog / Power Electronics Bus Unit Hardware Engineer and electronics for aerospace applications
  • Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
  • Technical support for production and test of electronic products
  • Support projects involving Electronics design.
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.
  • Develop detailed designs of limited scope.
  • Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.
  • Capture data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis.
  • Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product. Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs.
  • Work under minimal supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.This worksite participates in Boeing’s 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering
  • Lead level: 5+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Senior level: 10+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Principal level: 15+ years of experience with Analog and/or Power Electronics and/or Hardware
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis
  • Experience with Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree

Typical Education/Experience

Lead:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Expert:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Typical Summary Pay Range:

Summary pay range for Lead Level: $128,350 – $215,500

(New Hire Sign-On Bonus of $10,000 when you have a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI U.S. Government clearance that has been active in the past 24 months, current employees and subsidiary employees not eligible for sign-on bonuses.)

Summary pay range for Senior Level: $153, 850 – $259,000

(New Hire Sign-On Bonus of $10,000 when you have a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI U.S. Government clearance that has been active in the past 24 months, current employees and subsidiary employees not eligible for sign-on bonuses.)

Summary pay range for Principal Level: $181,650 – $303,000

(New Hire Sign-On Bonus of $15,000 when you have a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI U.S. Government clearance that has been active in the past 24 months, current employees and subsidiary employees not eligible for sign-on bonuses.)
