Account Manager – Oil & Gas and Chemicals & Refining

As an Account Manager – Oil & Gas and Chemicals & Refining for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for leading the country sales for Oil and Gas (O&G) and Chemicals & Refining (C&R) segment in driving revenue, developing and implementing effective strategic plans, increasing market share, building and maintaining relationships with a focused drive towards business profitability. Reporting to Country Sales Leader, you will be codeveloping with the sales support team to drive strategic account management and planning methodology, identifying opportunities for early engagement with customers and drive and promote ABB’s key value differentiators. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Your responsibilities

  • Owning the overall Oil & Gas and Chemical & Refining segment budget for the country. Creating, implementing, and reviewing sales support strategy ensuring high say-do and high hit-rate to deliver on plan
  • Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to develop a branding & positioning strategy on ABB’s capabilities as a preferred integrated solutions provider for Electrification, Controls / Automation, Telecommunications and Digitalization (ECTD)
  • Establishing all key accounts within the country with macro & micro-outlook, opportunities, IB, investment and business plans, stakeholder matrix, C-suite engagement, etc
  • Monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented. Giving input on market price developments
  • Driving application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools (salesforce, account plans, AVLs etc.) for the account
  • You will champion ABB’s commitment to fostering a culture where compliance and integrity is woven into the fabric of everything we do

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
  • 10 years of proven sales experience within the country’s oil & gas and chemicals & refining customer base
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
