Who’ll You Be Joining: 

As an Inside Sales Representative out of our Toronto office that services our North American clients, you will learn to know our products inside and out and spend your days providing clients with solutions using our ecobee lineup of smart thermostats.

From processing warranty requests, cold calling prospective wholesalers and contractors, to maintaining and growing current customer relationships, you’ll be the point person for your appointed Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) in-field.

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

  • Process all return requests from Pro Channel partners
  • Work closely with peers and other departments to resolve return enquiries
  • Analyze product return data and create reports for team visibility
  • Proactively communicate status updates and relative timelines to customers
  • Manage a defined territory and support its sales and marketing initiatives, conducting both reactive inbound and proactive outbound calls
  • Setting up appointments, providing updates and local demand analysis for the RSMs and answering questions about client accounts and marketing information
  • Support the RSMs to support field activities and growth initiatives
  • Partner with our wholesalers to increase product knowledge, sales, reduce returns and increase market share of our products at the contractor level
  • Coordinate timely and accurate records of all Market Coverage activities and detail in Salesforce CRM

What You’ll Bring to the Table: 

  • You have 2+ years of sales (inside, or in-field), marketing, or call centre experience
  • Solid as a rock organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in a multi-stepped conceptual sales process
  • Client service is your north star, it’s what guides everything you do
  • People say you’re a great listener and fabulous communicator. If you can do both in English and French, all the better
  • Proven ability to self-manage, take initiative, and see things through to completion; you’re a starter AND a finisher
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools (Salesforce would be great!)

What happens after you apply: 

Application review. It will happen. By an actual person in Talent Acquisition. We get upwards of 100+ applications for some roles, it can take a few days, but every applicant can expect a note regarding their application status. 

Interview Process: 

  • A 30-minute phone call with a member in Talent Acquisition
  • A first round virtual interview for 45 minutes with our Director of Inside Sales – expect technical, behavioural and situational questions 
  • The final step is another 60 minutes virtual interview with some other key member of the team
  • Just so you know: The hired candidate will be required to complete a background check
