HAV Solutions Group in Cairo, Egypt, is expanding its R&D endeavors with a new team within the ICE Solutions R&D department.

This team will focus on developing interface hardware components and integrating third-party IPs into both existing and new FPGA-based systems. The Veloce™ ProFPGA system architecture offers unmatched modularity, scalability, flexibility, and portability, catering to the verification needs of today's hardware and software engineers.

We are actively looking for 2 Hardware Engineers to join this team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in digital design, FPGA design flow, and interfacing.
  • Proficiency in Verilog HDL or VHDL.
  • Hands-on experience in FPGA implementation, from design constraints to timing analysis.
  • Familiarity with logic synthesis and synthesis report analysis.
  • Proficiency in function simulation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary protocols such as PCIe, UFS, MIPI UniPro, NVMe, USB, SATA, SAS, Ethernet, DDRx.
  • Familiarity with Xilinx development workflow (Vivado + Vitis).
  • Understanding of embedded programming is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Perl/Shell) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share knowledge effectively.

Main responsibilities

  • Design and develop FPGA IPs for both existing and new systems, focusing on surpassing customer expectations in quality and timely delivery.
  • Assessing 3rd party IP for complex protocols.
  • Integrating third-party FPGA IP into existing and new FPGA systems.
  • Developing simulation and test environments to demonstrate protocol integration.
  • Writing host software to drive test environments.
  • Creating deliverable demo designs for integrations.
  • Generating documentation and reference material for at-speed interface integrations.
  • Conducting system-level integration and executing necessary verification tasks.
