Solution Architect

We're looking for a Solution Architect candidate. Join a team of similarly dedicated individuals who are supporting our customers with solutions to make sure data is trustable, accessible and ethically used to solve the most complex business problems: that would definitely be Informatica's presales team! This is hybrid position in Maidenhead.

You will report to the PreSales Director.

You will engage with internal collaborators, customers, and partners to develop a technical account plan/strategy and improve sales engagements leading to technical closure. As an integral member of the sales team, you will ensure success by capturing customer use cases and designing complex technical solutions on top of Informatica Data Management Cloud. You will educate customers and company partners on the Informatica value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment and consumption in the cloud. Within our technical sales community, you will be an active, constant learner who can mentor others on the team. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of shared selling assets, knowledge stores, and enablement materials. To ensure sustained revenue growth, you will contribute to pipeline generation by delivering technical workshops, being active in social media promotions, developing content for external circulation, and participating in industry marketing events.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

  • Manage customer engagements independently
  • Share best practices and content on competition and other ecosystem vendors
  • Stay current on certification of services related to area of focus
  • Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a Customer Specific Demo with no assistance including discovery, technical qualification, customer presentations, standard demo and any related customer-facing communication
  • Conduct technical workshops with customers with no assistance
  • Lead on RFP responses and POC's related for area of focusPartner with the CSM team to nurture activities including technical advisory, workshops, etc.
  • Support demos at marketing events
  • Customize and present customer demos with minimal assistancePresent existing EBC content either at Informatica or onsite with customers

What We'd Like to See

  • Practical knowledge on at least 1 Cloud Ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP) and first-hand experience in the Data Integration or Application Integration space
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud computing security aspects
  • Ability to engage VP, Director customer personas, credibility with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical customer personas
  • Proficient in crafting compelling narratives and delivering engaging presentations for different horizontal and vertically specific use cases.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and Business Intelligence software concepts and products
  • Ability to create and execute on a strategic technical account plan as defined by the business
  • 5+ years of prior presales/technical sales or consulting experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Manage operational responsibilities of staff or individual contributors
