Please review the following job description:

Serve as a contributing resource for developing and maintaining the EITP metrics & reporting dashboard. Support the Truist Enterprise Insider Threat Program (EITP) and other Truist threat management programs responding to investigation incidents while working in a multiple-team environment. Process vulnerability and threat data from a variety of internal and external sources to provide actionable intelligence to internal consumers to implement countermeasures and maintain and enhance the defenses for our information systems and resources. Perform EITP investigations and assist insider threat principal analysts during incident response activities and cyber investigations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 

1. Review, analyze, investigate, escalate and document various EITP alerts and incidents and execute on appropriate mitigation strategies for identified insider threats. 

2. Identify new threat tactics, techniques and procedures used by insider threat actors.

3. Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively search for insider threats in the enterprise environment.

4. Participate in the creation and maintenance of playbooks used in response for investigation/incident triggers in support of the Enterprise Insider Threat Program.

5. Interface with other teams in Information Security (Ex. Cyber Incident Response Team, Data Loss Protection, Cyber Threat Operations Center and Digital Forensics) along with other Truist investigatory units (Ex. Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Security, Ethics, Corporate Investigations) and liability risk officers and technology management to guide EITP investigations and activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and related training

2. 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or related work

3. Broad knowledge of general IT with a focus area in two or more of the following areas: operating systems, networking, computer programing, web development or database administration

4. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of cybersecurity concepts with a focus area in two or more of the following: attack surface management, Security Operations Center (SOC) operations, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) use, threats (including Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), insider), vulnerabilities, and exploits; incident response, investigations and remediation

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in statistics and/or mathematics.

2. Proficient experience with data analysis, aggregation, and visualization tools (Ex. Tableau, MS Power BI, Excel, QlikView, Visio, PowerPoint).

3. Experience with Splunk and/or User Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) tools.

4. Strong concentration to detail, critical thinking, time management, and verbal & written communication skills. 

5. Demonstrated knowledge in evidence gathering, investigation, and documentation.

6. Banking, financial services, or regulatory experience focused on client data loss prevention, client remediation, auditing, and compliance.

7. Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Operations Center (NOC) experience and experience in the Intelligence Community (IC).

8. Industry certification in Interview & Interrogation techniques (Ex. The Reid Technique, Basic Law Enforcement Interview & Interrogation, etc.).
