Department Profile

Professionals within the Legal and Compliance Division (LCD) provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.

The Data & Analytics department in Legal and Compliance is responsible for designing and optimizing surveillance models, approaches and tools using advanced analytical techniques like supervised and unsupervised machine learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and evolving techniques like reinforcement and deep learning as well as graph analytics. The surveillances and other tools help identify suspicious and/or illegal behaviors like money laundering, market manipulation, insider trading, unfair sales or trading practices and other financial crimes.

Position Summary

As a key member of the Visualization and Reporting Solutions team, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to analyze, ideate, design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful reports, metrics, and insights to support business decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering reporting and dashboard solutions to stakeholders across Legal and Compliance Division's (LCD) Enterprise Non-Financial Risk (NFR) department. The candidate should have a strong technology-based skillset and business acumen with a focus on finding and creating efficiencies while delivering effective reporting & analytics. This position will require a strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and good understanding of Data Structures. The Candidate is expected to provide deliverables in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. The candidate will also be responsible for support and maintenance of dashboards and play a key role in department's process automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

> Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and assist in translating them into effective reporting data products, including visualizations.

> Work with key stakeholders to understand changes to NFR (GFC, ORD, Compliance, and other business units) and other metrics, measures, reporting templates and their impact to existing requirements and reporting products.

> Use visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to design, help develop, and implement visually appealing and elegant interactive reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights.

> Work with business and technology teams on process improvement initiatives (Migration of issue dashboard to strategic platform, automation of assessment metrics, etc.)

> Work across Data and Analytics, including Data Governance to ensure reporting adheres to data privacy and data governance controls and assist in data improvement.

> Assist in managing strategic projects

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

> 5 years of experience in data, data management, reporting, business intelligence, product development

> 5 years of experience across the entire enterprise data center stack from the hardware to the application layer

> 4 years' experience on Data visualization (Tableau/PowerBI)

> 3 years' experience on Data modeling (SQL, Excel)

Skills Desired:

> Proficiency in MS Office applications, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint.

> Excellent Communication / Reporting (able to present the insight and meaning)

> Excellent Problem-Solving skills.

> Strong time management and planning skills.

> Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

> Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

> Knowledge of User Interface design and Graphic design will be a plus.

> Knowledge of Regulatory landscape - Operational Risk, Compliance, Financial Crimes, or other areas of financial regulatory requirements and expectations (domestic and international).
