Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Senior Commercial Financial Analyst based out of Bangalore, India. This position will report to the Manager Finance. A key focus of the role is to support the production of the monthly product line gross margin reports, report on key financial measures to the Product Management team and provide reporting and analytics to product managers, sales leaders, and the commercial finance team. The position serves as a finance business partner to the product management and sales team functions, giving enhanced visibility into commercial performance and enabling actions to drive performance improvement. The analyst will have a significant impact on driving gross margin expansion, assisting the team in achieving both short term and long-term performance goals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and ensure accuracy and completeness of the daily book bill report that the business unit uses to monitor its performance on a daily basis.
  • Produce the monthly gross margin reports at the product line and plant level. Drive consistency and timely updates to the reports.
  • Design, produce and analysis a complete suite of daily, weekly, and monthly standard reporting that will all product managers to drive performance improvement.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for the commercial teams to identify trends, gaps, and business insights.
  • Support the Operations Financial analyst team where needed. 

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Engineering. MBA and/or CA required. 
  • 10 yrs. of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controller role. 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting. 
  • Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis, and reporting matters 
  • Understanding of financial drivers and their impact within a manufacturing environment 
  • Understanding of manufacturing, procurement, and other supply chain matters 
  • Critical thinker and strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Familiarity with SAP; Strong Excel, Access, Tableau and Data warehouse skills
