About the Team :

The global Monetization Integrity team is composed of Policy, Operations, Risk and Data specialists working cross-functionally with key stakeholders (Sales, Product & Engineering, Legal, PR, GR, etc.) to ensure TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements by designing and optimizing ad policies, managing moderation processes, building scalable systems and tools driving efficiencies within our integrity systems. As we continue to add advertising on TikTok, this team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community.

This Global Head role will require complex problem-solving skills and a true entrepreneurial spirit working across time zones. Our ideal candidate has experience performing deep analysis into potential risk areas and has the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify trade-offs, and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage, mentor and develop a high performing team in charge of the operations of auto-moderation products and tools
  • Familiarize with the construction and training of moderation tools and models, and continuously optimize and iterate related products
  • Provide thought leadership to the wider Integrity team, evangelizing cross-functional collaboration and owning a number of shared goals with partner teams
  • Lead communication both internally and externally to ensure aligned development trajectory enhancing risk control quality and efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams internally and externally including Monetization Integrity, Business Integrity, Trust&Safety, TikTok Monetization Product, etc to ensure risk identification agility, support model training acceleration and optimize cost of risk control
  • Identify gaps and problem areas and propose revisions to solve issues with considerable autonomy

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and above with experience of 5+ years in Monetization Integrity or Business management leadership position in a top technology firm or equivalent
  • Demonstrable leadership experience; proven track record of building, leading a high performance team
  • Significant experience in auto-moderation related fields, including but not limited to auto-moderation product operations, auto-moderation strategy operations, auto-moderation model development, etc., specifically regarding media/content monetization or equivalent professional experience
  • Previous experience working across multiple markets
  • Passionate about TikTok products
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with data sensitivity,

conducting complex analyses and translating the results into recommendations for executive-level audience, leading the team to solve problems systematically based on data facts

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of the digital landscape
  • Experience in Product, R&D, data science, analysis, and other related fields
  • 7+ years of people management experience, preferably in trust & safety, cybersecurity, risk management, consulting, compliance, analytics, or business intelligence environments;
