Job Summary

The Senior Analyst Business Controlling – Human Resources position is part of the Functional Cost Analysis team, focused on HR related data analytics. Collaborating closely with the Group HR function, the role is responsible for providing strategic business analysis, supports action-oriented reporting, and provides capacity to the Chief People Officer for conducting in-depth analyses as required on HR related data. This role involves project execution, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and offering decision-making support and business insights. The role includes a mix of recurring general reporting tasks and finding answers to new questions or develop solutions for evolving challenges in the sphere of HR reporting.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Helps the business to define, collect and report various global HR KPIs for group reporting purposes (labor mix, overtime, sickness rates, etc.)
  • Documents relevant reporting processes and KPI descriptions including corresponding dataflows, system interactions and roles and responsibilities. Monitors process compliance and escalates issues as needed. 
  • Ensures BI tools for HR reporting are “fit for purpose” and further strengthened/developed
  • Provides continued training to the global HR community on reporting tools
  • Performs ad-hoc in-depth analysis on HR related costs
  • Supports the global HR organization in the financial assessment of regional labor agreement negotiations and required modelling and scenario analysis
  • Supports the global HR organization in the financial assessment of regional restructuring requests/projects
  • Subject matter expert on core financial processes and interfaces between various T&A systems and our ERPs. Review and spot-check internal controls around T&A and payroll processes and support Internal Audit in various reviews
  • Ensures that the company`s HRIS system`s (Workday) master data elements are aligned with the general corporate reporting structure, and works with regional partners to ensure adequate data quality
  • Supports and provide guidance related to the global budgeting, and the planning process for merit increase
  • Supports and validates the calculations of various global bonus programs together in collaboration with Group Compensation & Benefits team
  • Supports the collection and review of relevant ESG KPIs in the context of group reporting

Education

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is an advantage.

Work Experience

  • 4-7 years’ experience in financial controlling, planning, and reporting, ideally in a large multinational business environment
  • Experience in labor heavy environments such as manufacturing, food service, supply chain management, staffing agency, airline and/or airline catering experience preferred.

Technical & Language Skills

  • Expertise in financial planning & analysis. Sound understanding of accounting, tax and treasury preferred.
  • Outstanding practical knowledge of Microsoft-Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Management Systems; SAP, Hyperion, Workday preferred. Previous exposure to payroll and time & attendance platforms are a big plus.

  • Able to fluently interact in English (German, French, Spanish and other languages are a plus)
  • The ability to interact with people of various seniority level and cultural background.
