Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:

  • Plan, organize and control the process engineering support/activities to the Tissue Machine 1 & 2. This included proactively helping the production crews in trouble shooting the production problem such as lower waste, delay and negative deviation to the quality target at the same time achieved productivity objectives (Rate of Operation: su/hr, OEE).
  • Work closely with the maintenance and engineering department to achieve high equipment reliability uptime and minimize labor and material.
  • Plan, organize and control the trials such as PSR, RSR and MSR activities to the Tissue Machine. Trials scope involves cost savings, center linings, machine capability, projects, and new raw materials. Issuance of Items Master and any BOM changes by liaising with the buyer, planner, and the cataloguing team.
  • Utilizing Performance Assessment system and tools in coaching for performance, career development and performance management to ensure employees are developed to their full potential through coaching, appropriate training and education, goal setting and career development to add value to the company performance and to encourage retention of employees.
  • Promote, lead and implement WAVE & ECS saving effort to ensure the department meet the required KPI.
  • Generating SOPs and ensuring that all practices at assets area in accordance with SOP to achieve good manufacturing practices for maximum utilization of assets.
  • Ensure full centerline system and PASS implementation, leading to improvement in efficiency, quality and reduction in rejects and waste.

You’re also a university graduate with a Degree in Process or Manufacturing related Engineering discipline OR a Diploma holder in any manufacturing study with experience worked in any related field with a minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience. Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Process or Manufacturing related Engineering discipline OR a Diploma holder in any manufacturing study with experience worked in any related field with a minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities (LQs) with excellence interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Preference will be individual with direct experience in tissue manufacturing with broad based operational management and experience will be an added advantage but not compulsory.
  • English fluency in both writing and speaking.
