Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

FLYR is seeking a Director of Communications to join the marketing and communications team, reporting to the Chief Communications Officer. This person will serve as the day-to-day leader of internal and external communications at FLYR. 

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Guide and maintain the company narrative. 
  • Drive brand awareness through strategic plans for thought leadership, product launches, customer stories, and industry awards to ensure a consistent drumbeat of media coverage.
  • Work closely with HR and teams throughout FLYR to deliver clear and consistent internal communications. 
  • Work closely with members across the organization including marketing, product, events, and HR to ensure we are communicating and moving as a cohesive organization.
  • Draft speeches and talking points for leaders across the company. 
  • Develop and maintain media relationships.
  • Manage and work hand-in-hand with our PR agency, ensuring they can operate as an extension of our team.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • 6-10 years of experience in B2B communications / public relations with a preference for combined in-house and agency experience.
  • Proven track record of career growth within the organizations you have been a part of. 
  • Exceptional writer and storyteller, who has built narratives around companies, products, and people. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while breaking down complex topics and ideas for a variety of audiences. 
  • Experience leading PR programs and working with c-level executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field. 

This position may require occasional travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:

$162,000—$226,000 USD
