Who we're looking for

The Client Group Business Intelligence team is part of the Client Insights Unit (CIU), which comprises several teams focused on enabling client-facing teams to make data guided decisions through a connected ecosystem of people, process, and technologies. 

In the Client Insights Unit, we are constantly generating insights and evolving our offering, to provide client-facing teams with the best possible intelligence about their accounts, products and the market, so that they can develop deep relationships and provide the best service. 

The Client Group Intelligence Manager will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of for Management Information, Reporting and Analytics products, across the Client Group including Sales, Client Service, Product & Marketing in an actionable and timely manner. 

Working within an Agile framework they will work closely across both the CIU, Business and Technology teams to ensure that business requirements are understood, prioritised accordingly, and delivered successfully whilst adhering to existing governance standards and ensuring the team is delivering the most valuable items against the firm's strategic priorities.

The team 

The Senior Business Intelligence analyst for Product & Marketing will be a key and leading member of the Client Insights Unit Business Intelligence and Analytics teams and they will report to the Head of Business Intelligence. They will work closely with the other CIU teams including CRM, Client Data, AI and Data Science as well as with a variety of business and technology stakeholders. 

Overview of the role

The Senior Business Intelligence analyst will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of Management Information, Reporting and Analytics products, across Product & Marketing in an actionable and timely manner, ensuring that these are being delivered in accordance with and in alignment with the best practices and foundational frameworks that have been set out by the Business Intelligence and Analytics Function. 

Working within an Agile framework they will work closely across both the CIU, Business and Technology teams to ensure that business requirements are understood and delivered successfully whilst adhering to existing governance standards and ensuring the team is delivering the most valuable items against the firm's strategic priorities.

Our end goal is to provide our Product & Marketing teams with actionable and timely reporting and analytics tools to enable them to make better informed, data-guided decisions, ultimately allowing us to better serve our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategy of MI and reporting aiming towards smooth user journeys, product integration and AI – powered analytics. 
  • Responsible for leading analysis, development, and maintenance of data models and dashboards.
  • Develop a deep understanding of users' needs and how data fits into their journey and the points at which users interact and need data in their daily lives.
  • Define, promote, and measure adoption, usage & effectiveness of reporting and MI across the Client Group stakeholders; ensuring feedback from users (verbal and automated) is considered to ensure 360-degree continuous product development. 
  • Build sponsorship and support across stakeholder groups to ensure MI & Analytics strategy is supported by the business and can be delivered effectively.
  • Support Capability owners to ensure that features and stories to be delivered by the Technology Capability teams are suitable defined and structured 
  • Contribute to the analysis, development, and testing of data products and visualisations.
  • Accountable for ensuring committed analysis and solution design objectives are met within agreed timelines with the marketing and product stakeholders
  • Responsible for contributing to all elements of planning, including estimates for analysis assignments, testing and the support acceptance process
  • Supporting other team members to improve their analysis skills and experiences and working closely with them to share the knowledge and learnings.

This person should be an innovative and passionate person who demonstrates a superior level of skill, experience and professionalism relative to their peers. 

General and Technical Skills

  • Previous experience in Marketing and Product Analytics and Insights development.
  • Experience in the development and deployment of MI, reporting, and analytics solutions
  • Experienced in the development and deployment of data visualisations, reporting and analytics solutions such as Tableau, PowerBI, CRM Analytics and Alteryx.
  • Proficient in SQL and visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI & CRM Analytics. 
  • High level of technical skill in use of business analysis techniques, methodologies, and artefacts to support insights' development. 
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple pieces of work at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, times zones etc.
  • Excellent ability to communicate how the CIU contributes to the wider business and Global Technology strategies.
  • Ability to bring market context into the data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience of working in agile teams and an advocate for collaboration
  • It would be desirable if the candidate understood an Investment Management/ Asset Management firm especially within Marketing & Product functions.

Key Deliverables: 

  • Continued development of MI & Analytics reporting, creating smooth and integrated user journeys with timely and relevant data touchpoints.
  • Embedding emerging technologies such as AI powered solutions within the products delivered, aiming for efficiencies, insights, and more data – driven decision making amongst their stakeholders.
  • Regular and ongoing progress updates to key stakeholders, ensuring that feedback is being implanted and expectations are being managed for stakeholders of different seniority levels. 
  • Promote best practice (i.e., performance, timeliness, data accuracy, processes, and toolset). 
  • Foster collaboration and develop a data driven culture. 
  • Promote the team capabilities and successes.
