As the GM of product – APAC, your primary responsibility will be to set the product vision and deliver on it with your growing team of product managers, developers, QA’s, dev ops, architect and tech writer, all based out of nCino’s Melbourne office. You will also be responsible for representing Product in the APAC region, helping to raise nCino’s profile in the region and deliver market-tailored solution solutions by collaborating with customers and nCino’s Sales and Customer Success teams.

You’ll bring extensive experience leading product teams and building products using cloud-based, modern architectures. You’ve ideally led complex programs of work spanning multiple areas of a business, across multiple geographies. You will have experience in developing out product strategies and turning them into tangible customer outcomes, along with proven experience of optimising the way product teams collaborate to get the best results for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the product vision, strategy and roadmap to establish innovative, industry-leading and globally-adopted products.
  • Evangelize products through customer conversations at the C-level as well as on stage at industry conferences and events
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going conversations with customers and non-customers
  • Establish relationships with banking executives to collaborate and share updates on nCino’s R&D plans globally and in the region
  • Collaborate with nCino’s global teams to ensure global product alignment is maintained and opportunities are maximized.
  • Drive a solution across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications) through market requirements and product positioning
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product
  • Manage a product development team to execute on the product roadmap
  • Continually review and refine the product development process to ensure the team is always performing at its best.
  • Mentor your direct management team and empower them to develop their own teams.
  • Actively contribute to senior leadership discussions and planning
  • Responsibility for all aspects of the local office, cultivating a fun, safe and rewarding environment for your team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent professional experience
  • 12+ professional-related experience and proficiency,
  • 4+ management Proven ability to create and deliver on visionary strategies
  • Proven experience in delivering software projects
  • Solid understanding of the Banking and Finance industry
  • Proven experience in engaging with clients to drive product requirements
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exceptional people management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Desired:

  • Proven ability to facilitate teams who deliver cloud-based software products
  • Proven ability to deliver on projects requiring cross-border collaboration, across various time-zones
  • Experience in a start-up/highly innovative environment
  • Whole-office management experience
