SUMMARY

The Insurance & Risk Analyst will be responsible for analytical activities which encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities supporting Ryder’s Insurance Operations and Risk Management. He/She will lead processes to include data gathering, reporting and analysis for developing risk assessments of insurance product line data to support profitable growth. She/He will provide support for Risk Management and Insurance Operations activities, maintain documentation, processes and shared folders. Requires the ability to provide periodic and ad hoc analysis and reporting, foster on-going business analysis that will feed strategy development and facilitate tactical decision-making for risk mitigation solutions. This position will work internal departments, vendors and provide customer support as required. Responsible for managing Ryder’s Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) product line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform risk assessments of insurance product line. Audit and analyze trends to identify areas of concern and recommend mitigation strategies to improve profitability. Partner with leadership, FMS and Risk Control to develop and implement solutions. Monitor and provide reporting and analysis on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Process and analyze lease physical damage drivers’ Motor Vehicle Reporting (MVR) for assessing driver qualifications. Prepare customer communications and compile customer risk rating. Responsible for MVR vendor management including state compliance and invoice management.
  • Manage and facilitate the placement of GAP Insurance coverage. Oversee all aspects of the GAP Insurance Product including sales guidance, marketing, reviewing, rating, amendments, SPIFF requests, tracking, reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Lease and Rental Account Managers and customers to provide loss run reporting & profitability analysis and educating on coverages and benefits of insurance product line solutions and answering questions as needed.
  • Partner with the COI team and Stop Loss in managing COI pre-default process for FMS customers to obtain a compliant certificate of insurance for lease customers or recommend termination for those lease customers that have not provided as required.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to conduct periodic reviews of processes, analytical tools and reports to continuously improve effectiveness and ensure compliance and profitability of the Ryder insurance product line and update as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with and support other areas of Risk Management and Insurance Accounting as needed.
  • Partner with Lease Underwriting on customer insurance renewals through gathering underwriting data and prepare for risk evaluation.
  • Work with FMS Account Managers and Directors to gather required data.
  • Participate in internal/external conference calls or presentations as needed regarding insurance product line solutions and offer solutions as needed.
  • Manage and process Risk Management, Insurance Operations and Claims incoming digital mail.
  • Collaborate with department and marketing to support growth initiatives for the insurance product line.
  • Maintain department shared drives and manage department documentation as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree a related field, required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) years to Five (5) or more in finance, analyst or insurance in a risk management, or insurance environment., required.

LICENSES

  • 440 or 220 or ARM, CPCU, CRM or equivalent, completed within 1 year preferred.

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market

data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or

certifications, etc.

The salary for this position ranges from $73K to $83K depending on experience
