Searching for a content internship? Walker Sands is looking for a detail-oriented individual to serve as a Content Intern for a paid 12-week internship. This position is hybrid and preference will be given to candidates in the Seattle market.

Ready to kick-start your content marketing career?

Working closely with members across the Content department, you’ll have the opportunity to research, draft, edit and finalize an array of content for some of the world’s most dynamic B2B brands. You will learn the ins and outs of creating results-focused content, and you will gain a deeper understanding of how important creative content can be. 

If you enjoy writing, working collaboratively and wowing clients with the quality of your work, you'll fit right in.

Our workplace is fun, but we're serious about generating stellar results for our clients. Collaborative by design, our workflow requires team members to pitch in and work together to get the job done. 

You’ll work with and learn from a full team of writers and editors, along with colleagues like search analysts, media relations specialists, social media managers and account leads across the agency. You’ll also gain experience working and collaborating with experienced designers and creative directors while honing your skills and understanding of the B2B digital marketing space. 

Through this internship, you’ll have the chance to support content creation, diversify your portfolio and strengthen your overall writing experience.

But to succeed, you'll need excellent writing skills, a flexible mindset and the ability to work on a deadline. If you're obsessed with clean, crisp writing and wowing clients with the quality of your work, we want to hear from you. 

Project Types

  • Content: Develop recurring blog posts and contributed articles for a range of Walker Sands clients. Learn editorial best practices and gain industry expertise from your colleagues in the Content department while sitting in on thought leadership calls, creating content outlines and supporting internal team initiatives through our Content Incubator group. 
  • SEO + Web: You will be routinely involved in the development, creation and refinement of web-optimized content that lives on our clients’ websites. You will learn and use SEO best practices to help contribute to projects that may include blog posts, landing page copy, microsite copy and emails. 

Requirements

  • Passionate about writing and strengthening your skills, including knowledge of grammar rules and AP Style
  • Eagerness to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and function independently
  • Positive attitude in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and stay organized while managing multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Willingness to embrace new technology and tools as an integral part of the content creation/refinement process
  • Strong creative skills and ability to implement feedback
  • Experience with generative AI and and Trello are a plus

Internship Details

  • This is a 12-week, paid internship, beginning on May 20, 2024.
  • We are looking for full-time interns.
  • Candidates for the internship must be eligible for full-time employment after their internship.
  • All internship candidate finalists must complete a writing test.

Compensation

  • Expected compensation for this role is $39,520 annualized, or roughly $9,120 for a 12-week internship.
