Role

  • Join the functional teams within the Samsung Wallet in the United States
  • Source, negotiate, and close new strategic partnerships
  • Cultivate highly effective, deep relationships with key partners with a focus on strategic growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute plans to accelerate Samsung Wallet’s ecosystem with content partners, developers, and platforms, focusing on new pipeline creation and partner growth
  • Provide actionable insights to shape product and partnerships and drive impactful collaboration with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, marketing, and operations (including Korea HQ) to develop and execute business strategy aimed at growing the Samsung Wallet ecosystem
  • Special projects (mobile driver's license and digital ID):
  • Focus on the Digital ID and driver’s license project.
  • Develop relationships with all 50 states to integrate the DMV-certified driver’s license and lifecycle programs.
  • Identify the revenue share opportunities from the relying party ecosystem, develop the revenue model, and forecast and integrate core partners.
  • Build relationships with key partners with MDL contracts with specific states.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • At least eight years of experience in business development, partnership management, and product management, ideally within the mobile space
  • Experience developing a business pipeline and working with partners
  • Experience in sourcing, managing, and negotiating with partners
  • Experience operating with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
  • Deep understanding of the mobile ecosystem with fluency in business models and knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Deep understanding of mobile technology including authentication and device-level security
  • Experience working with over-the-air provisioning of highly sensitive tokens such as payment cards
  • Deep understanding of highly regulated industries and protection of consumer data within the context of generating new business opportunities
  • Ability to work proficiently in highly technical settings, leveraging product management and development teams during negotiations and implementation
  • Ability to leverage business cases and an understanding of development capacity to prioritize product roadmaps

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $175,000 and $200,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
