Transfer Agency – Assistant Vice President Hedge Team

Location: Ireland

Division: Operations

The Assistant Vice President within the transfer agency department will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the shareholder register. They must enforce internal procedures while adhering to regulatory requirements at all times.

They will manage team members, build relationships with clients, investors and internal teams. They will check all transactions and payments, have full oversight of key control functions and be involved in project and change management.

Job Specification:

  • Ensure that all Transfer Agency requirements are adhered to.
  • Review and understand fund governing documents and have the ability to comfortably discuss these with clients and the team.
  • Responsible for managing multiple clients from pre-launch to liquidation, engaging and building relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Create and maintain an environment where procedures, policies and processes are adhered to.
  • Be accountable for development of staff and managing team where required.
  • Actively participate in planning KPIs and management of the appraisal process
  • Identify areas for improvement and discuss with your VP
  • Drive a solution focussed team and encouraging a positive working environment.
  • Implement changes to enhance the performance of the team and department.
  • Performing full oversight of the team and offshore locations
  • Escalate any issues in a timely manner with proposed solutions.
  • Be available for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for implementation and systems update.
  • Participate in projects as directed by senior management.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels across the organisation.

Skills Required:

  • 4-5 year’s experience in working in Transfer Agency.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach team.
  • Have a understanding of fund structures and the fund administration business.
  • Knowledge of some transfer agency systems, preferably Paxus, Investran, Sungard IDX, Efront, Investment Café & ManTra.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Extensive payments knowledge required.
  • Flexible and available to work additional hours as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
