Inviting applications for the role of Vice President- Business Risk Management Leader

In this role, we are seeking a leader to manage the Business Risk Management organization for the Technology Business. Under his/her aegis, the team will collaborate with the Delivery organization to manage project and program risks throughout their lifecycles. They will review and approve assumed risks during the sales intake process, coordinating audits and early risk detection for course corrections and lead project/program recovery when projects veer significantly off course. The Business Risk Management organization would ensure proactive risk management to support our strategy's success.

Responsibilities

  • Risk Strategy Development: Develop and implement an organization-wide risk management strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of risk management professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure effective risk mitigation practices.
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and their impact on projects and programs, working closely with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Risk Mitigation Planning: Develop risk mitigation plans, including mitigation strategies, and contingency plans, to minimize the impact of identified risks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor and evaluate risk management processes, ensuring they are in line with industry best practices. Generate regular reports for senior management to track risk trends and progress in mitigating identified risks.
  • Risk Communication: Facilitate effective communication of risks, mitigation plans, and progress to relevant stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in risk management, with a track record of successful risk mitigation. (relevant years of experience in risk management)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in risk management tools and software
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in risk management

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Executive Engagement Experience: Proven track record of engaging with senior-level clients, understanding their unique challenges, and providing tailored solutions.
  • High-level knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
  • Leadership Ability: Experience in leading cross-functional teams in the development of proposals and in the execution of large, complex projects.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and translate organizational needs into actionable plans and solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and negotiate with senior-level clients.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the industry and competitive landscape, with the ability to identify risk trends and mitigation plans
