The Nuclear Program Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation the of Zachry Nuclear Inc, (ZNI) NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program. This individual will report directly to the Program Director, Nuclear Quality Assurance and will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs and processes that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The Nuclear Program Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will support the ZNI QA team in the performance of audits, surveillances, assessments, procedure writing, Nuclear Program Indoctrination and training and will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential safety and quality issues, helping to maintain our commitment to continual improvement of the ZNI NQA-1 Quality Assurance program.

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred in Engineering, Quality Management,Nuclear Technology or Applied Science or equivalent experience.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Nuclear Power Construction /FabricationQuality Assurance / Quality Control.
  • Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor with minimum 1 year experience as a Lead Auditor
  • Extensive knowledge of ASME Section III, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1,Commercial Grade Quality and Supplier Quality for Nuclear project fabricationand construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Nuclear Indoctrination and Quality Assurance trainingrequirements.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective quality assuranceprograms in a nuclear environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to workeffectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to managemultiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, relevant software tools andapplications, such as quality management systems, data analysis tools, andregulatory compliance software.

Assist with the implementation of the ZNC quality assurance programs and processes in compliance with nuclear industry regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, operations, and procurement teams to identify, prioritize, and address potential safety and quality concerns.
  • Conduct planned, scheduled internal and external audits and assessments of corporate nuclear facilities, projects, processes, and equipment to ensure adherence to ZNC, regulatory and client quality and safety standards.•Review and analyze data from Nonconformances, Corrective Action Reports, and other sources to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Support the ZNC Nuclear Program team in developing and maintaining quality assurance documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and reports.
  • Support the Nuclear Program Training Manager in development and implementation of the ZNC Nuclear Training Program
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans to support projects and address identified safety and quality issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the company's quality assurance processes remain current and effective.•Support the preparation and submission of regulatory and certification applications, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with management as required, providing updates onquality assurance activities, performance, and areas of concern.
