As a User Experience Designer in Developer Publications, you will have the opportunity to improve the lives of millions of software developers around the world. You will design educational experiences for developers of all ages and skill levels, design apps that demonstrate best practices and delightful experiences for all of Apple’s platforms, and work on open-source tools used by software engineers. Our Human Interface design team is looking for an experienced contributor with a background in software design and an understanding of educational systems. The team works across a wide variety of products, including documentation systems for designers and developers who make apps for Apple’s platforms, native apps that demonstrate best practices across Apple’s platforms, and interactive educational experiences that are used by millions of people worldwide. Our team is focused on designing products that improve the lives of developers—an ideal candidate would have a portfolio that demonstrates projects with thoughtful information architecture, user experience design, and clean visuals.

Work closely with engineering teams to understand new technologies and design systems to teach developers about new technologies on Apple’s platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to define product direction. Use Sketch or similar software to draw mockups, build prototypes, and articulate design decisions. Pay close attention to detail at all levels of design and drive quality throughout product lifecycle.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $198,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
