General Summary / 職務概要

This position has the responsibility to support insights agenda for the Japan Region. He/she will proactively provide integrated insights and understanding of the markets in Japan against a backdrop of deep knowledge of the overall business and JJV’s portfolio. He/she will also involve in activities, understanding CL market landscape & dynamics through market model (size, share), competitive insights/intelligence and immense consumer & professionals understanding.

Duties & Responsibilities / 職務および職責

l Be responsible for designing and executing appropriate Global Business Intelligence activities in support of Japan’s go-to-market strategies.

l Identify strategic opportunities and work closely as an integral member of GBI’s Global Team and provide regional inputs & support to all Global Brand Marketing as well as I&P initiatives for Japan.

l Work closely with the Strategy & Health of Business leads to help provide local texture & perspective in interpreting the results from these studies after duly synthesizing/ integrating across multiple disparate data sources to provide a holistic business perspective on the business.

l Serve as the voice of consumers and customers when working with internal teams to ensure an objective view of the needs of our professional customers and end patients is incorporated into business projects planning.

l Consult with marketing, sales, professional affairs, business analytics and project leaders on the risks and opportunities of consumer/customer initiatives/plans to navigate the management to make informed decisions based on data and facts.

l Ensure consumer/ customer foundational work is performed with a global mindset, while considering implications locally.

l Working closely with GBI Senior Manager, manage end-to-end learning plan from the identification of business challenge/opportunities to results tracking, i.e. data mining, designing appropriate researches to assess risks/rewards, actual in-market tracking, then drawing recommendations for future improvements. Take part in building credibility for the Insights function as part of an integral team in the JP business.

l Actively explore new methodologies and market trends influencing our category and approach to insights.

l Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. Engages in Credo-based decision-making.
