Responsibilities:

  • Managing Accounts Payable processes from voucher to check run.
  • Ensuring accurate allocation to appropriate accounting periods, companies, and G/L accounts.
  • Enforcing compliance with company procedures for purchase orders while processing payments for vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Collaborating on the development of an accounts payable manual and continually refining policies and procedures.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Reconciling vendor statements and following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Completing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries.
  • Preparing and distributing year-end 1099 forms.
  • Assisting external auditors and other stakeholders with Accounts Payable requests.
  • Acting as the primary contact for ERP system upgrades.
  • Supporting special projects and management/divisional needs.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Three to five years of similar Accounts Payable experience in a corporate accounting department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • A/S400 experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Self-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, and integrity within a team environment.
  • Reliability in attendance and self-motivation.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
